Looking back on all of the good that 2015 brought, I am quite thankful
(PS these are all iPhone pics)
we began New Years at my family’s coast house
we celebrated Philip’s golden 28th birthday at his buddies cabin at Beaver’s Bend
4 years ago Philip gave me this drawing he made
I embarked on a journey to get to my client’s wedding in Dallas.
but alas, I-35 was pretty much closed due to the icy roads
so I took the train and the bus
with all of my equipment on me
alone
thankfully, I made it
a 2 minute walk from my hotel was this perfect lil’ restaurant
I was comforted with a hot meal
we’ve successfully raised chickens for over a year!
we went to a couple of concerts.
we have a big love for them.
I surprised Philip with tickets to see Alt-J in OK!
I have a BIG love for musicals. I saw Newsies with my sis!
we saw plenty of our friends play local shows as well
like Pearl Earl…
We got to see The Womb gallery in OK
unfortunately they weren’t open, but the outside was just as exciting
always stop for a good scenic lookout
I went to Austin a couple of times
one reason was because I had a wedding to shoot
and I needed some pre wedding tacos
another reason was for a dear friend’s glorious wedding
another reason was for Raaven’s first birthday celebración
and for another reason
a dream come true
I attended a workshop hosted by my idol photographer Jonas Peterson
we celebrated my beautiful nana’s 75th birthday
we put a lot of love and energy into our garden
we visited many friends
Denton witnessed it’s first legal same-sex marriage
and I was happily there to join the cheers
we celebrated my 26th birthday by going to a lavender farm in Gainesville
and then a dairy farm
my family and I went to Fredericksburg
and we always hit up the ol’ flea market
I really got into coloring books this year! It’s trending for a good reason
It’s been a really REALLY long time since I’ve last been to a Rangers game
I’m not too much of a sports person (my BF is!)
but I enjoy it every once in a while
our buddy is part of the pyrotechnics team at the stadium
so we went to see their talent
Oh and the Rangers WON!
I flew to California for the first time in my life (well I didn’t fly the plane but ya know)
and I was taken aback by it’s earthly beauty
I adored San Francisco
riding this bridge was a dream come true
seeing the redwoods was another dream come true
I soaked it all in
this was the real reason why I came to Cali
we found this nice little river behind a bar where I tried Not Your Father’s Root Beer
every year some of the ladies in my family go shopping in the adorable town of Salado
I’m part of a sisterhood of fellow photographers
and kept things local
my mom always wanted to see The Trains at Northpark
so that’s one of the Christmasy festivities we did
my sis and I made Christmas cookies with my grandmommy
and here is my darling tree
